CSA: Preventing Island capturing by the Union

Post by Frido1207 »

I know, another dumb question from me. But anyway.
Here we go:
Is there a way to prevent the Island capturing by the Union?
I was never able to move troops there (with & without being attched to leaders), in the reaction phase.
But i would like to be able to react, as i want to prevent the Union in their attempt to increase their blockade.
As it is now, my troops parades in their coastal regions & welcome our new neighbors.

No, unless by some miracle you have control of the ocean area and have transports there. That's not gonna happen for the Confederates though. Basically the Union can show up with their fleet and snatch the islands and there's nothing you can do about it.

Yeah...one of the many geographical disadvantages the Confederacy labored under. A looonng coastline and no navy to speak of.
