[WIP] KV-85

Post by Mobius »

This has been rather slow going. Only the turret is taking shape.
It now sits on a KV-1 body. The KV-85 uses a KV-1s body. There are some detail differences along with a different wheel design.

The turret is similar shape to the JS-2 turret so I can use it later to jump start that.

OK, I went a little hog wild on this. Nearly 5600 polys. But I wasn't trying to cut down. I just added anything that needed adding.
Now I'll look for things to cut out to get it down to under 5000.
The work on the LOD models.

Ah, well, since you do not wish death, then how about a rubber chicken?

Yeah, I'd really like to test hi-res vehicles on my system, see how the game runs.

RE: [WIP] KV-85 Summer Fashions

I reduced the poly count down to around 5000 now.
The summer skin is done.

While researching I found that there is a fixed DT mg in the hull (in a welded sleeve) which is controlled by the driver. The only way he coulld aim it is to point the entire vehicle. This isn't of much use except to lay suppresive fire at infantry which the tank is charging.
