Activating Leaders

Post by New York Jets »

How does one activate leaders?

I have played the tutorials and have read the rules section on activating leaders and I still can't figure it out.

I'm playing the Full Campaign and on the first turn the Union has two leaders at 100% availability and two activations available.

I would like to activate Halleck and I can't figure out how to do it.

Where is this "activate leader button" the rules mention?

Any help would be appreciated.

You must select the unit type from the zone u want the leader to appear, and the bar that appears on the right side of the screen has the button.
Now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of their country.

You have to move your mouse to the region where you will want to activate a leader and then left click on the unit in that region. This enters action mode and buttons will appear on the right. There is an activate leader button there. Be sure that a unit or leader of the type you want the leader to be is active in the top unit box and then click on the activate leader button (if you want an infantry leader, click on an infantry or militia unit or an ainfantry leader in the unit boxes before you press teh activate leader button).

And if you want an admin leader, click on some "infrastructure" in the region in which you want the leader, like a train or a resource.
