AAR - Rybka (A) vs zamli (J)

Post by zamli »

7/12/41

The Imperial Headquaters got seriously worried after reports started to come...

..... no Force Z spotted.......STOP
..... no surprise at Pearl Harbour achieved; they have been waiting fo us........STOP
..... we lost lots of planes at PH......STOP
..... we just scored few hits on old junk at PH - none of the ships sunk.......STOP
..... our advance in China stopped.........STOP
..... Borneo captured, sunk 4 old DD's.......STOP
..... Heavy fights on Luzon and Malaya, some old merchants sunk......STOP
..... Hong Kong captured......STOP

this could mean only one thing - these bloody americans predicted it all - they simply wanted us into this war and lured our glorious forces into a trap..... how could this happen, how?

Hmm. This could set the stage for some major surface actions. Bad news for you, I know, but potentially lots of fun to watch.
Civil war? What does that mean? Is there any foreign war? Isn't every war fought between men, between brothers?

Much better news this time your Highness [&o]
Our forces have captured:
Rangoon. Khota Baru, Changsha, Panay, Palembang, Negros, Jolo, Timor, Wake I, Midway, Menado, Manokwari and Samar [8|]

Our glorious forces have also managed to destroy light dutch forces during the night battle near Surabaya. Admiral Nagumo reports he sunk De Reuter, Java, Tromp and another CL. Our air forces have managed to track down and sink this old tender Langley.

American carriers spotted near Australia. British battleships and carriers near Java and Sumatra. [&:]

This turn results:

Say what?? The Japanese lost eight ships last turn? Were any of them sunk in the surface fight against ABDA?

...ships lost are MCS and AP due to submarines - no DD lost or higher (neither on 21/12/1941)

21/12/1941

Your Hignness, glorious news [&o]
Our forces led by Admiral Onishi sunk 2 enemy Aircraft Carriers (Lexington, Saratoga/Enterprise?) during the air battle near Guadalcanal and left the battle without a scratch

Land battles are still stalemate although with some progres in Philiphines.

This aggressive ... [:@]  ... Halsey had order to turn back after attack, but he waited for KB rather. Such a total failure. Of course, he escaped Enterprise safely. I´d execute him.

If the japanese suffered no ground losses, they must not be attacking any serious entrenchments.

Interesting that the japanes lost more ships this turn than the Allies -- but the Allies lost the important ones![;)]

I do activate my units; I do order them to attack, but they simply refure [:(]

Your Highness, grave news [:(] [&o]
Our fleets were ambushed near Surabaya and we lost 2 CVL's (damn unlucky - each got one hit with multiple asterixes [:@]). We have also lost night battle with many ships severly damaged and 1 CA lost [:(] although killing 1 enemy CA as well.

On the other hand our brave sailors managed to sunk Australian fleet consisting of 1CA, 4CL's and some DD's during the naval battle near Croone (?).
Our aircraft loses are building up your highness and we have to change our strategy. We also don't know how to motivate our troops fighting in China - they simply refuse to leave trenches [:(]

I use Dfend Reloaded (http://dfendreloaded.sourceforge.net/) to run the VCR replay, then press the Print Screen button at the right moment.  Then you can paste the image into paint (or something like it) to trim up the image and save it as a JPEG.

Nothing new at the front your Highness [&o]

Our shipyards are busy with over 20 BB's and CA's in repai process [:(]
The results (according to VCR I managed to capture Kuala Lumpur 3 weeks ago - bullshit [:@] and those allied ships SW of Surabaya are only looking damaged here - in reality they were barely scratched [:(])

Still trying to figure out why VCR results differ from the real ones. If they were true the whole allied navy would already be at the bottom of the sea [:(]

18/1/42

CL Sendai sunk near Khota Baru by allied planes from Singapore.

KB raid on Brisbane resulted in sinking 1CA, 1CL and 3DD's
Jitra finally captured

That's more like what you want to see! Still a surprising number of Japanese ships on the bottom of the pacific -- how are the sub wars doing?
