Hi, Andrew,

Is there a way for us to post .ccm files here?

I have an updated version with graphics I want to share but it is currently not possible to post anything bigger than 200 KB of text files on the forum ....

Thanks!

hmmm...

If you don't have a web server you can upload them to and provide a link, then email to me at andreww@strategy3tactics.com and I can make them available.

Ah, you gave me an idea.

Does this work?

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=FSHC5EAL

I have included within it various improvements:

> I forgot in the earlier versions to give the 105 mm gun AP shots as well;
> added HE shots for the Challenger 2;
> readjusted the number of rounds on the vehicles with the big guns (e.g. the Stryker MGS no longer has 100 rounds of 105 mm ammunition);
> graphics for the T-90 and T-80 U tanks (can't get the icons to work yet);
> various cleaned up spelling (e.g. "Abrahms" corrected to "Abrams");
> reordered/renamed units to make finding them in the selection screen easier;
> added the Montayan infantry to the OPFOR side to help reduce crashing of pre-existing scenarios; and
> a new (stable) version of "Operation Center Back" for testing.

Again, feedback and suggestions are very welcome.

It opens the megaupload page ...but there is no indication of how to download the file.

What do you do?

At the top of the page it asks you to enter to code:

"Please enter *** here:".

Type in the letters they ask you to enter and then click Download.

In the Free column a timer will start and a link saying "Free download" will show up after the timer is done. Click on the "Free download" button and your download will proceed.

Thanks!

Hi All,

I have not bought the game yet but upon hearing so many good things about it I will purchase it this evening.

This mod very much interests me and so I have 2 questions about it.

Spinel, will your updated version install seamlessly over the previous one? Will it effect VDV's part of the mod?

Thank you both for your work.

regards John

Hi, John,

Thanks for your interest!

My mod is just an extension of VDV's mod. (I would have asked him for permission to make such changes but he doesn't seem to be around anymore?) It contains all of VDV's additions and more so you can just install my mod for his changes as well. (None of my changes are unfriendly to his, and as he mostly dealt with Russian infantry squads and as I have little familiarity with the subject matter there is no reason for me to change his settings.)

It does install seemlessly in that as far as I know things don't crash if you run the pre-existing scenarios with the mod turned on. (Do tell me if that's the case!) Nonetheless, the pre-existing scenarios need to be edited because of the reordering of the OPFOR units. (For instance, old scenarios pre-programmed to have the T-72 will now have the hunter/killer team as default because the hunter/killer team took the T-72's former slot in the database.) This requires minor editing in the scenario editor and I have included an example of a changed version of "Operation Center Back".

Enjoy!
