Absolutely.  But, before his setback, King was in great shape to come out ahead.  So, his ability to salvage a draw after such a huge setback is amazing to me.  Tom is playing quite well too. But as I said, I know I could not have salvaged a draw from that setback.

In our settings (possum and skipped first german turn) a draw is a clear german victory. In normal wir I would argue that, as the germans are just too good (42 and 43 summer the soviets can be still knocked out).

After the 43 summer victory I pushed real hard, but Kingtiger managed to defend it out while rebuilding much of his panzer force. Too good you have to say :)

I learned a lot from this game, and kingtiger did kindly teached me some more. Next time in possum as soviet I will have a few more mean tricks.

Great game, I enjoy this. I have the hammer to strike, but the enemy somehow always survives :) And I really do throw everything on the germans.

I think 44 summer will decide the outcome of the war.

Germany will have a very tough time defending and trying to find troops to create a mobile defense/assult force. As in ww2, the war we be decided in the air.

Yes sorry Tom you are right. I posted thinking in ´43 and ´44 campaigns. Obviously in ´41 and ´42 campaigns the germans, with the Lorenzo House Rules, have a great chance to win. So if the soviets can stop Germany a draw should be given like a victory to the soviet. Well I think [8|]

Soviet blitz failed in the north. We tried to encircle and surrender panzer korps in Vilna, but the flanks held on. Now we have a bridgehead in the last river before Rumania. Blizzard came.

Losses this week:

Our troops rest and await the up and comming Soviet attack. The Luftwaffle has sent large numbers to the south to discourage the VVS to support there army.

Germany can now boast to have 4000+ Panzers and 7000+ Fw109a's in the east.

Major reforms in the western fronts have just been completed and this will allow much more replacements to be sent to the east.

5 Pz divisions that had been placed in reserve have now been comitted to the front. We hope these divisions will halt the Soviet advance.

The south looks like it will hot up.

All of Germany's Pz korps have been split up so they can cover more of the front. Fullstrength SS Pz divisions are now being moved into the same korps in select areas. We plan to place all our SS Pz divisions in 2-3 korps when the rain comes.

I expect a fullstrength SS korps with support elements to have a CV of 450. I would be very happy if I could form 2 Pz korps this strong for some late war blitzing.

I made a mistake taking my screen shots by giving the Soviets free information about my troops positions. I would of prefered the Soviets found this formation the hard way.
I pridict the VVS will attack this Pz korps with full force...

If hordes of fw's guard it, we will deal with the Luftwaffe. If air cover is weak, then the hungry tu2 will make a visit just for introduction :)

This week near Tarnapol the XXIV. panzer korps was forced to surrender after the VVS softened the flanks. It was not too strong, but good for start. In the north german panzers massacred our attack again. The south was peacefull, only one german infantry korps was forced to retreat by our tankers.

Losses this week:

Axis/Soviet

2134/880
349/331
740/274
300/522
