KY joins CSA - Who knew?!

Post by elmo3 »

Just looked at the political screen and saw that KY joined the CSA in my current game (2 turns after it happened). In looking back through the text messages I can't find any notification of that. Is there an automatic message I missed? If not there certainly should be one when this happens. Seems like it would have been in all the papers. [:D]

Same thing happened to me.  Thought it would be big news, but apparently it was buried on p.4 somewhere [;)]

Sounds like we need a message for this, and that it should also post to the 'e' key report. I'll add it to our patch list.

Thanks Joel. It would be helpful to have a message.

Joe,
Not to change the subject but I was wondering if it is possible for an icon or some such thing that tells you the phase as I am an old guy and have a hard time remembering which is the reaction and which is movement. Also I read on page 88 that reaction movement happens when BOTH sides have combat units in the same region. Isn't it a case where a player ends his turn with a unit (s) in the others home (state area).

There is an icon showing the phase in the upper left corner of the screen (near the date).

Whenever a player starts his turn and there are enemy ground units in areas that the now phasing player controls, you'll have a reaction phase and have a chance to react before the combat.

Gary says he's added a message about Kentucky so it'll be in the first patch.
