keep the pics coming folks, great stuff.[:D][&o]

I'm waiting for Bob, Bruce and Dixie.

There are no recent pictures of me. Maybe, if you're good I'll get one sorted when I'm OOA. Then it'll look like I'm busy or I know what I'm doing [:D]

Treespider and his family live in Knoxville and none are wearing orange? It's a miracle!

We're yankees and my team has spanked the Vols the last few times they've met in bowl games....

We are....

PENN STATE!

Don't say that so loudly there in Knoxville - it could be detrimental to your health!

This one was taken just last weekend. I had to show off my new jersey for you guys...

I'm just a couple of months shy of 50, and definitely not as spry as I once was!

I would love to get my hands on that Yamato model kit you are working on. Is that the 1/350 Tamiya? It also appears that you have added PE detailing?

It looks like you have put ALOT of work into it.

It doesn't make any sense, Admiral. Were we better than the Japanese or just luckier?

HAhahahahahaaa!

Golly, that made me laugh out loud -- as a boy, the 4th of July existed to blow up models with firecrackers. Nothing quite like entertainment for a 12 year old boy to drop a firecracker down the open hatch of a T-34!

Back in my youth when I would build my ship models, I would add compartmentation to the hull. After completeing the ship I would take it to the slip out back, give it a good push into the water, and start plinking away at it with my BB gun.

After sinking a few, I started adding strings so I could retrieve 'em, patch 'em, and sinkex 'em all over again.

Ah the simple pleasures of youth!

That looks like the 1/200 scale kit that has been released by several kit makers including Nichimo and Dyoshu.

A European company is preparing to release a 1/72 scale Bismarck.

Here's me

Post by hgilmer »

I was in St. Maarten, digging on the surf, and sipping some cold ones. This was a remote beach - I was there with family and friends and we took a picture with the bartender of the beach bar. There was some great surf and it wasn't crowded. I'm a Red Sox fan. The Yankees shirt is a long story - the short version was I was trying to jinx them since I have always had reverse luck.

Thanks Knavey for posting a pic that covers your face, there are small children that read these forums, and we wouldn't want them to have nightmares!  [:D]

Oh, BTW, Roll Tide, too.  We had a pretty good run against Penn State in the 80s, although we did drop a couple.
