Current Project - CFL Lite

Post by garysorrell »

I decided that since im making stadiums, I might as well make some real ones. So since the CFL has 8, it will be easier to start and finish a complete league as opposed to trying to do the NFL stadiums. Plus, the CFL just doesnt get the love it should. [:)]

I dont promise to make them insanely accurate. I will make them in the general configuration they should be in, and try to add textures that are close to the real deal.
But they wont be what you would see in a 'Madden CFL' or anything.

Anyway, here is the first one:

Gamespace Light has issues. It seems to crash a lot when you are applying textures. It definately makes building the bigger stadiums a pain. These for sure wont come out as quickly as I would like.

Im currently not working on it. Im having a lot of crash issues with gamespace light. It's somewhat tolerable on a smaller stadium, but it makes creating larger ones a pain. Caligari doesnt seem to be supporting this software at all, so I dont think there is much hope in getting any help with it.

Caligari is not supporting it at all. I emailed them about the manaul not being available and their response was to "play with it" and figure it out.
Nice attitude. They are pushing TrueSpace 7.0 which costs about $300 I think.

Yea....they suck. I dont really like their products anyway. Personally, Blender is free and much superior in many ways. I only use Gamespace Light to texture the stadiums I build in Blender anyway.

You`d think for such a hard thing to do they`d have better support or manuals .They would probaly sell there programs more . Main reason why i doubt i`ll try stadiums . Thought i`m sure i`d come up with some wild ones , i`ll stick to uni`s.
