Color me stupid returning old timer

Post by JElrod »

Good morning. I haven't played Pac since it first came out when I failed several colege courses based on not being able to walk away from the computer.

I just stumbled across this site and am VERY excited about the upcoming new Pac and just ordered Uncommon Valor. Now here is the question..................

and I have read through the entire V3 manual and I can't find the answer.

The part of PAC that I enjoyed the most was the individual aircraft control. I mean the setting of the ord loads and search patterns, readying of acft ect. I cant seem to find any of those screens or instructions on how to get to them. There used to be a sub meno for actions from CV's and air fields where you could choose Search and then assign planes to it as well as set the radius and direction of the search.

Am I missing something or is all of that automated now?

Thanks: John

Well sadly, that particular feature was never in Pacific War.

I do remember (Who am I kidding? I still have the dang thing) a game called Carrier Strike which had those features. Unfortunately, there is no updated version of that game available.

You may also be thinking of the SSG game Carriers at War which developed quite a following of its own.

Hope that helps!

Carrier Strike can be found at the Underdogs, under "War". There is also an expansion pack for the game that is available for download as well.

I still play this game all the time. . .
