We are near of 1945! A new experience as german player.

A bad turn for me as my main counterattacks failed...

Army Group North retreat to Prussia! The last reserves are sending there but Im be must be very carefully. Even still holding Finland, Italy, Hungary and Romania in our side, the new year will be very hard for us as Westerns garrison requirements will go up a lot...[:-]

A fullscale assult was aimed at Germany's advancing Pz korps with the objective of encircling 2 Pz korps and pushing back the others west. The 1st tank armie failed to dislodge the the German defenders holding up the southern piencer. All other attacks to push back Germany's panzer korps worked well. 1 panzer korps we tried to encircle has held it ground and threatens our advancing armies flank. This failer could have dire results.

We are now on 1/2/1945. Snow.

The soviets managed to breach our lines in the Center. Two marauding Tank Armies opened a hole in our defence so the OKH ordered a retreat of Army Group Center to make another line of resistance.

However, we tried to destroy the soviet tanks. Even both Tank Armies were encircled we failed to destroy them. A lot of tanks they have!

A nasty surprise is expected [:(]

The AGN and AGC retreat... Now the Front lines to defend are more short for me so I can free some units to reinforce our main defences.

Also you can see the marauding soviet tanks in the Center and as I posted before our counterattacks failed miserably but at less they will be are in out of supply next week...but surely with a high cost for Germany.

Those kids are lovely I know what you are talking about. They make our beloved warmachine kingtiger a bit vulnerable.

A shock army if I remember well[:)] and I thought it was a trap!!! Many time thinking why hell you did it , a dark plan behind was in my main[;)]

A major effort was made this week to destroy Germany's Pz korps that failed in there counter attack east of Warsaw. The right piencer failed and the left peincer retreated some korps out of the encirclement. Our failed right piencer is in a very bad position and risks being destroyed. The weather gods have blessed this tank army with some nice blizzard weather.

We managed to get our tank armie back to its lines and destroyed some weak German INF korps in the centre but all other attacks failed.

The Soviets will not reach there objectives this game. Josan has proved to be too strong.

January 16 1945... it was during that week (well the 12th actually) that the Soviets broke out the Vistula bridgeheads and stormed to the Oder
This time it's not gonna go that smooth as we see German defense in depth

This week the Soviets will launch a major attack. It will decide the war, I will either gain alot or lose alot



I wrote a huge post but it got lost some how. A picture says a thousand words and I hope Josan loads them before his turn.

Really nothing more exciting than playing the germans( and soviets I think ) in 1945!!! I guess many people never played at this stage of the war... if someone are looking for some different play (as german or soviet) here it is. Its not 41 or 42 campaign, the 43 campaign show your skill... IMHO

Stalin claims in Moscow that German lines will be broken next week...
