Scharnhorst Class. That makes it either Sharnhorst or Gneisenau.

Why is it a rare photo hawker? Are there very few surviving photos of the Gneisenau?

Hi Cantona, very rare because there is few pics made after channel break.

Though not a big lover of naval warfare, despite the addiciton to this game, she is indeed a BEAUTYYYYYYYYY
 
hawker have you seen a painting made about the channel dash shows both ships (Prinz Eugen was the other one no?) with some ME 109's flying CAP. Brilliant

There is (i think) 8 photo of channel dash, for me the best is photo taken from PE showing Scharnhorst dead in the water after hit a mine.

I like the oldies too, but I always thought the liners were too thick in the middle and matronly looking; kinda like a mother-in-law.

I like these better; lean mean sailing machines.
