Silly question on Activated commanders

Post by Nibelung »

In the strat screen, when you see the active commanders of the opposing side. Are the activations the one he will get for his next move (so useful to plan accordingly) or are they are the past one (not much of use to me) ?

It is not a projection of the future. If you look at the turn sequence, you will see that leader initiative for each side takes place in the opening, automatic checks that are performed.

I take this to mean that as the Union player I can look at the screen and see who was activated and then disregard it because the CSA will make initiative checks after I finish my turn and before the CSA begins her turn.
