Newbie Question

How many upgrades will there be? Or will V. 4 be the last?

Also, I first downloaded version 1 a few months ago but it had a problem with e-mail games (which is what I would like to do). Has this been fixed?

David Heath and Paul have stated that there will be at least a 4.1 update patch to fix some bugs with 4.0. After that, there will probably be an OOB patch. Also, I would guess if there are any other bugs found, (or created by the 4.1 patch), the great folks at Matrix will patch those as well. There is NOT likely to be a version 5.0 for a looong time, as they have said they want to move on to other (paying) projects.

I played several PBEM games with the 2.3 varsion, and the only bug there was some countries seem to have the "disappearing units" bug, which is that if you use the VCR Replay, some units will disappear. If you are playing a non-secure game, you can simply copy the save files to a different number, open that game, view the VCR there, then go back to your original files to play your turn.

AS far as PBEM with version 4.0 there do seem to be some new problems, which the 4.1 patch is supposed to address.
