Trying to drop Prussian Factors in GB

Post by KenClark »

I am GB and Prussia is helping me deal with a minor infestation of Frenchmen. Prussia has kindly lent me a couple corps. However, I have found that he cannot drop factors into cities in England.

I am not 100% sure I gave him access or not, which I will check later. However, if I did give him access, should I be able to drop the factors into a city?

Thanks.

I believe you should be able to WITH access.
I belive you would need a valid Prussian supply depot on or adjacent.

Why would Prussia need a depot to drop garrison from a corps into a city?

So even with the loaned corps rules you still have to give access to the corps that is being loaned to you?

This isn't a big deal IMO, it's just seems silly that it's like that.

You should not need a supply chain to move factors from corps into garrisons. Plus, since it is obvious he is giving Prussia access, can he also offer to supply the Prussian troops in his terroritory?

I'm sorry, I missed the "city" part. Absolutely, you should be able to place garrison factors without the depot and they should be able to get supply as well. I sure would like to see this game if you could. Email it to me at marshalle@matrixgames.com. Technically, I don't think I've ever seen Prussian troops in England. :-0 Churchill would never stand for that! :-)

Fortunately, you have a copy of that game! I sent it to you to clear battle wait states just a few days ago. Game name is Ferdinand.

Prussia has also lent troops to Austria who cannot drop their factors into a city either.
