Request- Neyland Stadium

Post by Old Coach »

My request would be the development of Neyland Stadium as we see in the pictures below. The top picture is basically the Coliseum Stadium without the Roman columns in the endzone. Nothing really needs to be done there. If you take the columns gold color BMP and replace it with the 255, 0, 255 pink color, the columns disappear. The next 2 pictures look like the Coliseum Stadium with upper decks and endzone seats added. The last picture is the present "Big House on the River". If someone could put pictures 2 & 3 together for me, I would appreciate it greatly.

I have to admit to being old enough to have attended games at Neyland when it looked as it did in pictures 2 & 3. Picture 1 is before my time. I was a student at UT when Neyland "only" seated 70,000, had no lights, and Rocky Top hadn't been written yet.

Sorry
Here's Neyland as the "Big House on the River". If someone made this one, I wouldn't turn it down. The Rose Bowl, Ohio State's stadium and Michigan" "Big House" are basically the stadium model without the upper deck.

Have any of you been to a game at Neyland? According to many, it's the best place in the country to see a college football game. I've attended games at all the SEC stadiums except for South Carolina and LSU. My "unbiased" opinion is Neyland is best. Admitedly my visit to Gainesville was in 1979 when Florida suffered through an 0-11-0 season. Florida Field wasn't very intimidating the day I was there.

these look like you could actually already make these from existing stadium models
off the top of my head, Gil's coleseum looks very similar to the first few pics
and Gil's spike bowl aint a million miles away from the final picture

a little graphical editing on both stadium models would bring you pretty close to these

Hello Coach,

Actually i was working on a similiar stadium that your first three stadium pics[:)] using Coliseum Stadia minus the collumns, but i kept stopping for i was running out of ideas on what to put. But since you have provided a pic, i'll surely do try to do one or three. i guess i leave the current fans in the coliseum so it will be a lot easier, but i kinda wanna re do them.Hmmm should i ,Well see.

local8h,
I appreciate it very much. I have Gamespace Light but haven't been able to figure out how to use it. I'm one of those people that often needs someone to show me how to do something and then I can take from there. Since the Gamespace manual is no longer downloadable, I don't have a clue what to do with it.

In the picture below, the pointer shows where I'm sitting.
