Re-Arming Minelayers

Post by New York Jets »

I have a minelayer in a size 8 port. I hit 'Replenish From Port' and his mines don't reload. What gives?

I can't believe this thread has been on this long with no answer. [:-]

Should I try the WitP board?

You need a level 9 port to reload mine layers, unlike witp there are no MLE's (minelayer tenders) to reload mines. I've always added my own MLE's with the editor before starting a campaign.

I need to learn how to use the editor.

How exactly?

Just adding the class so can convert AK's or need to add in ships too?

AKs can't convert to MLE's, it's not an option, unless you're willing to give up one of the 5 predesigned conversion paths. It's much easier to add an MLE class and several ships of that class. Just be careful, because MLEs can help create 3000+ strong minefields - and those are game-killers.

Revisiting this... I learned that an AE with Supplies in a replenish TF will Re-Load Mines in DM , ML, AMC's

How interesting.

I gotta test this. After all, an AE is one of the 5 possible conversion paths...
