MC Desert Fox Leaders and 7.1

Post by Treeburst155 »

Hi guys,

I have just completed an install of the Desert Fox MegaCampaign complete with SPWAW v5.3, which came on the disk. I then proceeded through the various upgrades (5.2-6.1, 6X-7.0, 7.1). All appears to be fine.

I then came here to learn of known problems/fixes that I should be aware of and discovered the leader values problem. Has this been fixed with 7.1, or do I need to use Anthony's Campaign Fix?

I've searched a bit, but only found pre-7.1 posts regarding the leader problem. Thanks!!

EDIT: I think I found the answer in some posts from last month, but I'm not sure because LV was the primary topic of discussion. I went ahead and downloaded Anthony's Camp Fixer.

You need the Campaign fixer, this is and issue with the core.dat file of the MCNA MegaCampaign and an inherent problem with SPWAW carrying leaders from battle to battle.

Treeburst! How nice to have you here! Gentlemen and ladies, TB 155 is a long-term hard core gamer with vast experience in Combat Mission.

I'm assuming this is the same one! If not forgive me.

The leadership thing was an anomaly that simply did not appear in the continual testing prior to release. When that inisidious little gremlin crept into the game, I am not sure.

I'm glad to see that a "campaign fixer" has been provided and I'm sorry for the inconvenience.
