An existing Army will have it's command rating (CR) increased by its political rating each time it is appointed to Army commander by the right hand menu "Appoint to Army commander" button (up to the 24 max CR limit).

The same occurs with an existing Theatre commander's appointment to Theatre commander.

The respective buttons for Army/Theatre commander appointments should be grayed out with an existing Army/Theatre commander selected.

This is fixed in the next patch. Till then just dont do it :)
