RE: Boron vs Archduke GPWbyBoron
Kiev, Soviet artillery, tanks and air forces are amassed there. I drive south and north of Kiev and try to beat back some units of Boron. This will be tough and bloody.

August 10th 1941 Turn 8:
HG Nord:
This turn I tried to smash through the soviet lines west of Leningrad. With massive air and sea bombardement the finnish infantry fails, miserably. The situation will become difficult as a result on the Mannerheim line.
In the South, Boron gives up Staraya Russia without a fight, making me wonder where he will make a stand in the north. There is not much left to fall back to before vital supply lines are cut to Leningrad.

HG Süd:
As there is no relevant action in the center, I continue with HG South.
My decision to storm Kiev by force whilst encircling it is a smashing success. Boron sacrificed the last turn to kill of one SS-Divison. In return I make bridges south and north against an infantry divison opposition. In the centre I cut through 2 fortifications to destroy most of the Soviet Artillery.
I have not much left to throw into battle, but I got the initiative. If Boron doesn´t retreat things might get ugly.

HG Rumänien
The situation west of Odessa remains hanging in the balance. Whilst I manage to slowly grind the Soviets down, the loss of Bucharest opens another front. This will be difficult.

I hope everyone likes the AAR so far.
First of all this game is in progress, my AAR is about 1 turn behind, so any advice keep it coming, as well as questions.
Second, do you guys like the style, should I change something, any more info you want?

How about some loss lists or battle details ?
Or actual production setup ?
Except this i don´t miss any informations.
Have to add some overview maps to my own AAR [:D]

Great AAR! Looks like a real slugfest.... kinda like two drunks in a bar fight![:D] You upper cut him and he low blows you!
Will be interesting to see who's the last man standing.
I agree it would be nice to see some production numbers and losses.

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty & well preserved body,
but rather to skid in broadside, totally worn out & proclaiming "WOW, what a ride!"

August 17th, 1941, Turn 9
Overview:
A very interesting turns, as you can see I actually retreated near Odessa and Mannerheim, though I smashed through Kiev with suprising speed.
As I have been asked, in the future I will provide some more info on production, battles and kills. For now, let´s say much of my production has been going into the production of trucks, speeding up my army and equipping the OKW with dire needed Landcap.

HG Nord:
My spearheads race forward and the outskirts of Leningrad are reached. I try a desperate counter-assault against Boron´s artillery in the region and I fail, forcing me to retreat from the mannerheim line and use much needed german troops from the OKW to hold the lines.

Moscow is only 100k away, but the enemy formations are gaining strength by the day and the infantry columns are still behind.

HG Süd:
Operations near Kiev result in an astounding success. The opposition is crushed and only the battered remains of the SWFront HQ remain. Kiev fell much easier then anticipated as supply was already low for the defenders this turn as I cut them off from the east.
For minimal infantry losses I destroy much needed material, mainly artillery, some tanks and trucks.

HG Rumänien:
After a last failed attack, I cease offensive operations and retreat what I can near Odessa.
Bucharest however is halfway liberated, but this is a serious setback. If I need HG Süd to come to the rescue? It would mean a fatal delay of plans.

As I am regrouping, I can´t post a screenie of the HG, but here is the last stand of Kiev this turn, a juicy HQ is surrounded and destroyed.

The situation before Moscow. Notice that Boron uses his workers as scouts. The fortifications before Kiev must have been disappointing.

Things are heating up. As an overview screenie is too revealing I now present you with the kill/losses of this turn. Boron just smashed through my meagre defenses in the south, encircling and destroying many romanians. Thus the quite high losses for the Wehrmacht.

HG Nord:
Leningrad is cut off. It seems that Boron has neglected the Northwestern Front in favour of Moscow. Which means that I am redirecting troops there and that resistance near Moscow and Odessa will be even harsher then I thought.

HG Süd und Rumänien:
Reinforcements are arriving to help the Romanian HG which is only a shadow of its former strength. Though thanks to the high losses now fully mobilized with trucks.
