More burning Shermans!
"Herr Oberst, Spähtrupp Meier reports a platoon of american tanks advancing on the northern road. The Kingtigers are almost in position. Shall we strike now or wait until they advance into our sights?"
Colonel Schweitzer evaluated the situation. A quick blow or a nasty surprise? If the lead tanks were blown apart, the enemy would withdraw with moderate losses. A full attack might wipe them out. He reached for the radio.
"Oberleutnant Metzger, attack at once! Feuer frei and good luck!"
In the woods south and west of the american M4´s Kingtigers rumbled forward, opening fire as shermans came into view. One burst into flames after the turret was hit. From several directions, AT-teams charged the tank platoon, destroying the surprised enemy. Four out of five tanks were smashed in less than a minute. Cheers and gunfire filled the radiowaves.:p

Kawonk! There goes another!
A little artillery doesn´t stop the master tank!
Sgt. Lang calmly drove his Kingtiger through the barrage and smashed the final M4 which had tried to escape! One platoon wiped out, many more to go... :p
The Amis are trying a breakthrough in the north, but their tanks can´t advcance without infantry, and the infantry is eating 15cm rockets and MG bullets and won´t move.
Advancing Rangers near the center were driven back by mortar fire, recon troops and SPAA.
Take your chocolate bars and go home, Ami boys!
I threaten a month of Sauerkraut in the POW camp for anyone who gets caught when we do you in!

Toast!
We have repulsed a tank incursion in the far south. Two M4s are burning, one of them slugged it out with a JpzIV/48 and a 75mm PaK and took at least five hits before folding.
A couple of Ranger squads were dispersed also, otherwise a rather quiet turn. Everyone is gathering strength to deliver that crippling blow.
In the North, the Amis are withdrawing. Or shall I say retreating?

Whoa Jess how many Shermans are there??? Let´s see... some three platoons litter the field and there are still quite many around... maybe two companies? You don´t trust in infantry, do you? No wonder, those Rangers are dying...against recon troops!
Alas, my Kingtigers roll ever on. Unstoppable, invincible and a menace to all who enter their sights!

Speaking of dirty...I just saw 2 more special ops!
I like my M4s they kill anything that moves...come on King boy...daddy is HOME!
I just learned 2 meanings of old cliche's
"Square Meal" British 1600s meal served on a square wood plate....
"Son of a Gun" British Naval officer's wife giving birth between 2 naval cannon on a ship of the line, the ship would fire both cannon to help the baby along.....
Both true!

More Spec Ops?. Can´t be, must have been a trick of the light, Jess!:D
Oberst Schweitzer was studying his maps once more. The Kingtigers had claimed another Sherman in the north, and reported that enemy morale seemed to be suffering.
The infantry had also destroyed a M4 which had advanced onto the hillcrest west of the objective, had driven off the initial defenders and had now been turned into a flaming wreck with the aid of a Panzerschreck.
The enemy infantry was being destroyed wherever it was discovered, MG42´s making short work of the helpless Rangers.
Too bad I forgot to make that screenshot. I´ll post one next time!
You still like your M4´s? Those still moving, of course... :p

Surrender? Why that?!?
Oberst Schweitzer was angry.
Oberleutnant Metzger had been a close friend, they had first met during Operation Wintergewitterin souther Russia, the ill-fated attempt to relieve the cut-off 6. Armee in Stalingrad. Schweitzer had always admired the fearless tanker and his daredevil attitude. Now Kurt was dead.
Another friend and hero gone, like so many before him. The other Kingtiger was withdrawing with its turret heavily damaged and only the driver and the commander still alive. It might yet be repaired and fight on another day.
The Amis would pay. He would make them.
The Waffen-SS grenadiers were all around the fighting tanks, and were using the sudden lull in the american barrage to recover and assault the american tanks. A Jpz-IV in support, the men charged. Some were hit, but many more made it. Soon, three more Shermans were destroyed.
In other sectors, the last of the enemy tanks were trying a show of strength where there was none. Twenty-eight enemy tanks had been knocked out, while his Kampfgruppe had only lost one Kingtiger and four Jagdpanzer. Those odds were very good.
The american Ranger infantrists had taken terrible casualties wherever they had appeared, and Schweitzer doubted that the enemy had much of a reserve. Soon, he would commit his own...
