WiRAssistant is now released.

What's this?
WiRAssistant is a helper tool for all the players of Gary Grigsby's War in
Russia: The Matrix Project. Mostly this tool is intended for those players
who play PBEM games, but it also works if you want to play against the AI.
WiRAssistant allows you to access the save file even when it's not your
turn, and giving you the same information as the game itself does, but also
tries to offer more different views into the data thus helping you, the
armchair general, in your decision making process.

Release Notes
Version 0.3
- This is a minor maintenance release. A few problems with unit icons in the map views
appearing in custom scenarios (Possum and Soviet attack) were fixed.
- Compiled under the brand new java 2 SDK 1.4.
- Also tested on Java 2 Runtime Environment 1.3.1_01. Seems to work fine.
- The map now automatically centers on the selected unit or city.
- The color coding in the unit names and combat values was fixed. The colors remained
as they were when an enemy unit was chosen leading to misleading view.

This release of WiRAssistant will most likely be the last one, since both us developers are now involved in this project, and since WiRAssistant is now feature complete, as originally planned.

Source code for WiRAssistant 0.3 is also available for download here. It is mostly provided for those interested in either working on it further or wanting to learn something, but we don't want to restrict the use of the code. Therefore you are free to do with it what ever you want, but if you do, you're on your own. We, the people who originally wrote the code, assume no responsibility what so ever regarding the functionality or non-functionality of the source code. (The documentation in the code is in a really sad state, so hopefully one day there is enough time to update it, but don't count on it).

It was fun writing it, and we hope atleast someone found it useful and thanks to those who reported bugs to us during the development.
