Put my faith in the people
And the people let me down.
So, I turned the other way,
And I carry on anyhow.

RE: THE THREAD!!!
Well, The Dark Knight was a superb film, and I have to give credit where credit is due, Heath Ledger was simply phenomenal as the Joker. He outshone EVERYBODY in the film.
If he wanted to go out on a high point, then that was it. Excellent.

That is the general critic, that Heath Ledger was the "perfect" bad guy.ORIGINAL: Terminus

I heard it was very violent and sadistic. I think I'm going to pass on that one.ORIGINAL: Terminus

Wasn't hard to do, seeing as how it was so ... dark.ORIGINAL: Terminus

I guess I read too many Batman comic books as a kid. This doesn't seem to me to have anything much to do with how I think of Batman.

NG, it wasn't actually that heinous. Plenty of people get killed in very nasty ways, but it's not reveling in the gore. I wouldn't cheat myself of the experience if I were you.
As for The Mummy III... Thanks, but no thanks. Same with X-Files: I Want To Believe.

Really really damaged goods, that one, but still oddly at peace with himself. He knows what he is, and why he does what he does and Ledger tapped into the character expertly.

I'm on the fence with the XFiles. Pretty much I've moved on and I think it's time Fox and Scully did the sameORIGINAL: Terminus

As to the Mummy III, I just can't help it. The whole series has been one over the top, cheesy bit of fun goodness.

I'm not saying I won't see Mummy III, but I'm not sure it's worth the exorbitant cost of a cinema ticket. I can wait.
