Aircraft Bomb date Question

I have an aircraft that only gets bomb racks at certain date after service entry. If i put that date in bomb device would they only be used at that date or the code uses anything in aircraft stores even if it is not operational?

I think you are right, that it would still try to load up the aircraft to the stated load.

Date is not looked at except related to production - so a device assigned will always work - assuming the device is able to work
in the situation/unit it is assigned to - and is not busted in the first place.

You are saying that if I make a bomb with an arrival date of 1/46,  It will be available for use in 12/41??

Thanks Cid. Yes JeffK i already suspected it from conversations here, that is why i asked to be sure, as an aside also we can use a plane that is not in production if we just make a squadron with it. Now i have a problem i dont want to duplicate the number of planes...since this were conversions of existing planes.

Another idea, do aircraft weapons upgrade in planes? i might do a 0(zero) damage bomb that updates to a real bomb at a certain date? Will this work?

No - aircraft weapons do not upgrade per se.

You can have an AIR UNIT appear after a certain date with a different device though.

Thanks. My prob is that certain aircrafts models got converted to fighter bombers by adding bomb racks and i dont want to artificially increase plane production. If i replace them with a fighter bomb version they are still available in depot.
