Wild West Football League (Solo Project)-Season 01

Post by garysorrell »

I've been wanting to do this for a while, it's the main reason I bought Maximum Football in the first place. And considering all that you can do with the game, it's hard to settle on one idea and stick with it. But, this one has been on my mind for a while, so I think I will roll with it.

My goal would be to do as good a job as Dreamteams does with the Metro Football League, and Thornbird with his Really Mean Football League.

The league itself is ready to go, but I want to finish the website before I start.

All games will be played out. Its 8 Man ball, on the US College field, with punts.

Love the idea. The helmets and logos are great. I'm pulling for the Tombstone Gunfighters.

Where can I find the website for the Really Mean Football League? I'd like to follow along with it.

Stats are a bit wacky. But its my teams and playbook. Not a game issue.

I need to add a few more defensive plays to handle the run. Sweeps result in most of the huge rushing gains.

Passing yards are what they are. It's an 8man game with plays designed to score in one play. So, on the huge field, a WR gets open...he's gone.
Plus I need to tweak my late game, kill the clock stuff. I had teams going deep with 14+ pt leads with seconds to go.

I will be taking some screens and a few vid clips of the Game of the Week, and will try and put a highlight or two on my youtube page like Thornbird does. It's amazing to see some of the bombs the QBs launch. I would love to see real AFL teams on the big turf for a game or two.

It's been so long since I have had a clue as to what is new or was in the last public release. I assume this is something David has added and isnt in the last patch released to the public. So, he may be mad that I posted. I probably should remove it.
