victory hexes

Post by MacCready »

I just started to create a new scenerio for SPWAW7.1

How do you create/place the victory hexes exactly where you want them?

Very user-unfriendly until you get familiar with how they work.
Perhaps a good way to begin is start with a little blank map and begin to mess with the various values and types of v-hexes.

There are 21 of them and several types.

All work on v-hexes must be done in the victory hex edit box.
You will see a next and previous button. These allow you to cycle through the v-hexes. V-hexes can be stacked one over the other so it can be confusing. My advice is keep it simple at first and play with v-hexes a while to get the idea of how they work

I had a hard time with this at first. It would take many pages of text to fully describe how they work and how to put them on a map. A good place to start is the manual.

Once the scenario is loaded in the editor, go to the deploy screen. In the "tools" at the right there is an icon with 2 red flags, a letter Z and a white arrow.

Click on that tool and a little box appears with several v-hex changing tools. They include a Next, Previous, Go to, incrementing, types, and a button for hidden hexes.

V-hexes are created and altered in the scenario edit screen, not the map edit.

Good luck.
