As far as I'm concerned, you had it right the first time. And, if it is possible for the Axis powers to get to the point of even contemplating this action, your AI leaves a lot to be desired, after all.

I don't agree with this. WW2 computer game should allow any alternative history version for each side of the conflict. What's fun in playing the game when you know that it'll all end up exactly like in real life: axis always lose, allies always win? If you play Germany and already achieved so 'unrealistic' outcome like conquering USSR and UK, why not be able to invade USA?
