Changing the turns

Post by Richrd »

An AAR for beginners was posted on this forum where the player changed every turn into a one week turn and the PP's of some locations. Please, how did he do that?

In the scenario folder for the scenario you wish to modify is a file called consts. Modify this file to get the number of turns you wish per each month. Then, you must modify the file named misc in order to enter the correct number of the turns that the scenario will last, otherwise it will end at a wrong time for you as the scenarios apparently count turns until it reaches the number entered here.

Oops! I killed the game. Thats why I never used any of the cool add ons for WITP. I'm a computer idiot. I thought I did it right and changed only the numbers. When I pick a scenario (39), then click OK, the game crashes to desktop. Luck for me I ordered the physical shipment, so when it gets here, I'll be able to restore the defaults.

I don't understand it. I compared the spreadsheet I changed to other scenarios and it seems identical. Maybe it's because I saved it and my excel is several years old.

To modify .csv files you can use also notepad or advanced notpades like EmEditor (very good one) or Notepad++. Older version of Excel maybe a reason of crash.
