When the game starts you can see a quotation by a soldier, officer or politician.
My problem is that the game loads so fast I hardly ever have time to see all of it.
Can I find them anywhere on my harddrive?

in your FoF folder, subfolder data. The file is named maxims.txt

When we programmed the game, computers were slower. Now, more and more people with fast machines will be experiencing what you have, so perhaps at some point we'll want to add a 5-second delay or some such thing.

I believe the code would look like this:
10 FOR N=1 TO 100
20 NEXT N
