I would recommend trying this.

1. Make sure you are doing all of this as an administrator on the machine.
2. Uninstall the game.
3. Turn off UAC. Here is how --

4. Install the game. Do not install it in the default file path. Install it somewhere like c:\games\ww2rtv
5. Turn UAC back on.

You might also try just running the "Quick Start" shortcut in your start menu folder for WW2 RTV as Administrator. If you right click on the shortcut, you can bring up the compatibility properties that allow you to try this.

Tried all of the suggestions - I can load the main menu, but when I press play I still get this error message (able to play CEAW OK) on this game & unable to progress.

You're saying that the game starts, but when you press "Start Game" button in main menu - some kind of error message pops up? Can you send a screenshot with this message?

What a shame - reported the problem directly - not one responce (other than a formal log acknowlegement) - this is really not what I had hoped for from such an established company - all I want to do is to start the game!

You may have tried this, but I have had to select "run as administrator" for some games when I had Vista or I got the same message.  Just an idea...

Have tried "run as adminstrator" - no luck.  Have logged error with Matrix & tried support@matrixgames.com as suggested - many thanks.  Just one deeply disalusioned gamer at the moment.

Hi Tim,

I forwarded this to someone who's more versed in the serial number system than I am. Unfortunately it looks like it got lost in transit. I've just reminded them to work with you on this today.
