Murmansk

Can someone tell me why the axis is not allowed to do an amphib in Murmansk? Are the Germans in this game penallzed because they concentrated all their northern exploits on Lenningrad? Doesn't make sense to me

Speculating here, but ...

The "Murmansk" hex on the game map is not really Murmansk, it is transit point that abstracts the Murmansk convoy route. The real Murmansk does not appear on the game map. It would not make sense to allow the Germans to do a landing on an abstract hex like that.

In the real war, the Germans and the Finns did try to take Murmansk, and failed. That German corps in Finland would seem to be there for that reason, so I don't know why the game map does not go as far north as Murmansk.

I think that needs to be addresed in the next patch. Can you imagine if the British and the Americans were sending hunfreds of pp's to a port that may have long since been captured in reality? Do you think we would have continued to send them after the fall of Moscow and trecked on past Stalingrad and the caucusus? I think not. That is way past Murmansk. In the game I am playing right now. Leningrad has been captured. Hello! what's next?
Think about that for a moment for a "what if" scenerio next time someone brings up what would have happened if.......
The uboat campaign might have entirely changed the war if that were to have ever happened. As it is, I'm marching on into the caususus and on to Perm( the final objective for the fall of the soviets) and they are still getting hundreds of pp's. I know because one of my uboats just spotted a 173 go in there

You talking about Vladavostak, lol. If Lenengrad and Murmansk is gone, there is nothing.
Woops, forgot about Archangel, but still to get there was a major hassle for the allies expecially for half the year.
