Scenarios and V3

Hi all

Can anyone tell me whether any of the scenarios available for downloading will
work with V3 of SPWAW (the version that
came with PC Gamer magazine). I'm especially
interested in the Stalingrad scenarios, but
I'm reluctant to try one of them for fear of
screwing up the game and losing my progress in one of the in-game scenarios I'm playing.

All of the scenarios that came with the CD including Stalingrad are playable in that version. So it should be no problem for you.

I was wondering if any of the *non* CD scenarios will work with V3, the version
that appeared on the PC Gamer CD. I have
the PC Gamer CD.

There are several scenarios at The Gamers
Net and elsewhere that appear to be for
V2.3 and V4 of SPWAW. I'd like to try them,
but if they'll corrupt my game files...

Has anyone downloaded scenarios and played
them with V3 of SPWAW?

Tony,

Any scenario on The Gamers will work on your game as long as they are your current version or below. What I mean is you said you had version 3 of SPWaW. Any scenario made for versions 1 thru 3 will work. Only problems you will have is if you want a scenario for version 4 or 4.1 . They will not work. Hope this answers your question.

Any scenario labeled 4.0 version (they should be identified as such) will probably not work for you. As Liebstandarte says, all the others will, and there are a number of them in the depot and on the support sites.

You really oughta get the 4.0 upgrade. Its worth it. Just ask

Thanks for the info on scenarios, guys.

I very much want the 4.0 upgrade, but it's a matter of downloading it -- I understand it's a 120MB+ file. Maybe I'll just begin the DL before going to bed one night! I understand from earlier posts that there's special software that will facilitate downloading big files.
