Question About New Ships

Post by doc smith »

Just a friendly query.

There were a number of "ships" not including WitP 1.x which might have some effect on play. For example, one TV show mentioned that the Army made special transport escort vessels that had a flight deck and used "auto-gyros" !! or primitive helicopters in an anti-sub role. There were also Army-operated subs (26) used for supply purposes.

Obviously, not a big impact on gaming but the Jap Empire can always use anti-sub and supply ships.

And one should be able to Mount the Guns off Large Ships and convert them to Costical Defence Guns.

The Japs Removed some Guns from a Few Ships and for whatever reason making Seaplane Plattforms were the old Guns had been... and the Guns thay Mounted into Solid Ground / Concreate Plattforms - and thay becomed Hevy Costical Defence Guns.

The Germans did the same thing, after thay obviesly would not get Supirriorety at sea, many Surfece Ships was Scrapped and the metal taken for other war production, and the Guns mounted into The Atlantic Wall.
