Grenadiers advance Mechili

1700 Hours

We have been given orders to advance and push back the British at Mechili. We will be about 100 miles west of Tobruk. We have gotten all our replacements and repairs from our last battle at Agedabia. The men are up and ready to kick some British ass.

There is a sandstorm going on but visability is still around 1150 yards. We are to jump off at 1700 hours. This will be much cooler as we move out. We have been able to get an adequate supply of ammo and water so no problem there.

A CO will be close to the north map edge with B on there right flank in the center. C CO will be on B co right flank towards the southern map edge. All our tanks are set up on the extreme sothern map edge moving independetly of our troops. They are to take the southern objectives and then swing immediastly north and help the infantry take there objectives.

The companys in the north have 1200 yards to reach there goals over mostly low hills and open ground. The northern objectives is another 350 yards Ne of the center one. The tanks have 900 yards to reach theres.

Fourty minutes into the battle and all is going as planned. Pushing the British back steadily as we move forward. Making like 100 to 150 yards every five minutes. A and B Co in the north have moved to within 450 yards of there objectives. Should have them secured within the next thirty minutes I believe.

Our three companys of tanks in the south has taken and secured the southren most objectives and have moved past there another 400 yards towards the rear most objectives. They have been running into a lot of the enemys tanks as they move forward. Have taken out at least 50 of the enemy armor while losing only 2 of our heavy tanks and at least four or five of our light recon cars.

Our losses so far have really been rather slight mostly due to the very heavy and constant artty fire from there side. This is going to be another lopsided victory for us as our tank gunners have just not missed when it came down to it. While there gunners have been anything but good while firing at our tanks. Lots of misses and bounced shots from there gunners. Have been taking a lot of there tanks out at 700 to 1000 yards.

For little over an hour we have been pushing the British back from the front line. All forward objectives have been taken and are now secure. All enemy troops and tanks have either been pushed back or killed. We are now meeting very little resistence as we move towards the rear objectives.

The tank force I have on our south flank long ago turned NE and are driving for the southern rear objectives. They have been almost in a constant battle with the tank forces of the British ever since they made there turn NE. Not 5 minutes ago they ran into 3 25mm and 2 75 mm Guns taking them out as they pressed towards the objectives. There losses for the force they have encountered has been slight so far. Losing only two heavy tanks and 3 armored cars. While inflicting heavy losses to the enemy. Taking out at least 12 tanks and maybe more.

The British today has once again had tremendous loss of life along with a heck of a lot of equipment. Another great victory for the Fatherland and our Fueher. Im sure we will get some sort of congratulatory letter from maybe even Adolf Hitler himself for our great victory here today.
