I was thinking around half size of actual Olympic Nations, kinda around 32

But I'm open to suggestion (just dont tell the wife I said that [;)]).

If you do an internet search you will see that Japan won the first two World Cups of American Football.  America didn't play in them but I think Japan should be included.

So now I can have football be an Olympic sport. Yay

I know I made my little blurb about the Olympics in another thread,

Actually, I know all of us at one point, when brainstorming what to do next with Max, have probably thought of the league that includes the world. A REAL World Football League.

A 'Football' World Cup [:)]

The closest I ever got to that was when I was considering football teams for the Olympics (That totally needs to get done IRL BTW [;)] )

... but by the time there would probably be enough teams to make it worth it, the Olympics would be old news...

but where was the one that inspired this?

Hey Mykal are you planning on doing every country so we can have MFB Olympics? j/k anyway I am working on some Pro Bowl playbooks and maybe even rosters for your uniforms. Could I upload them to your site if I finish them?

Said in Jest but it got my mind working

This might just need a name randomizer FYI - so that you don't end up with a bunch of Todds in Japan or Hiroshis out of France.

And going in and editing names so they're geographically appropriate is a time consuming mess...

And then there's China, which would have the first name on the backs of their jerseys (or they could have NNOB jerseys).

In the meantime I can try to find the nicest stadium available on MFB to host the Olympic games once there's enough teams to field play [:)]

Yes Agreed, I was just going to create the league set up and then gather my smokes, coffee and such
then sit and edit all the names to suit, some kinda name generater or randomizer would be great but outside my skill set.

And periodically there'll be some stat copying to represent certain players being allocated to represent their native countries (like the NBA does to the USA and China)

I can put together a naming/rating convention for this I think... depending on how many countries everyone would like....

UK/US/Canada/Australia are easy ones because they typically have more of a melting pot to them where you get a blend...

doing China/Japan those are all a little more difficult but so long as they issue census records in english it shouldn't be too horrid.

Looks really good.South Africa and New Zealand might be a good add.I am pretty sure that South Africa New Zealand and Australia all play in a Rugby league Super 14s so they would be rivals.
Another good rival would be England vs Scotland but for the Olypics I don`t think Scotland has a team there in with the United Kingdom Mykal you would know better

I'll be happy when I can get the US and CN teams the way I want them (as I'll have to dig into my NFL and AFL files [US] and CFL files [CN] to get exact stats).

The Olympia Bowl logo does make for great CF art, though.
