Advanced Tactics WW2 comparison?

Post by mllange »

How would this game compare with Advanced Tactics - the WW2 scenarios that have been written? It seems scaled down a bit from AT (although maybe AT could be done at the same scale). How is supply and C&C handed in comparison?

Thanks in advance, this one looks promising!

Oh, here we go again! I think you can find comparisons to several other games including AT if you scan the threads dealing with if RTV is "ready", "good" etc.

EDIT: My grumpy reaction was related to the many threads over summer comparing games that ended up with comments like "this/that game is crap", "I just don't like it" and more along those lines. It seems as if very few people take the time to objectively just list differences between games, and instead start listing the flaws that are inevitable, and their personal opinions which was in many cases not asked for. I haven't tried RTV, most likely will in a month or so, so I can't do the comparison in a fair way.

Sorry, I had no intention of re-opening old graves. I have browsed through many of the older posts and did see a few comparisons, but didn't see many mentions of AT, which seemed curious to me since both games have some common elements, at least from the outside looking in (building/purchasing units, scale, etc). I have AT and have enjoyed it for many months and I'm simply wondering if this game might strike a similar chord with me, which would be wonderful! I am more than a little impressed with the developer's feedback, responsiveness and candor on this forum; that alone makes this a likely purchase for me.

Warmest regards.
