How do you play?

WW2: Road to Victory is the first grand strategy release from IQ Software/Wastelands Interactive, which covers World War II in Europe and the Mediterranean. Hex-based and Turn-based, it allows you to choose any combination of Axis, Allied, Neutral, Major or Minor countries to play and gives you full control over production, diplomacy, land, air and naval strategy. Start your campaign in 1939, 1940 or 1941 and see if you can better the results of your historical counterparts. A series of historical events and choices add flavor and strategic options for great replayability.

How do you play?

I usually take a single major country and let the AI control everything else. The only exceptions are if I am Germany I'll play Italy for a turn or two to use their Diplomacy points and if I am Great Britian I also play the USA.

So far I've played as Germany only, Poland only, and France only.

How do you play a country just for a couple of turns?

You hit F1 and choose the country. Then change it from AI to human control or vice versa.

I played as Russia in the campaign. I spent points before and during the invasion only on replacements, infantry corps, and upgrades. Not one air unit, no new tank or motorised. Stopped em cold. The AI is twenty second rate.
