Hi Greg
Thanks for making this available.
Will there be any difference between this beta patch and the final public release, that would need me to download it again?

If all goes well, as I believe it will, no. There shouldn't be any difference.
Of course, I've been wrong before.

If possible can a note be added to the Public Release message on the forum to let us know if we need to download again from the beta patch.
I've dl'd and installed and am off to give it a whirl [:)]
Many thanks to Jason, Matrix and the Beta Brigade for all the hard work.

Remember the new assault rules are OPTIONAL, you will have to CHECK THEM ON in order for them to work.
As with the existing Optional Rules, once you turn it on, it will default to be on for all your new games.

Old battles should be finished prior to installing the 1.04 UPDATE. The default for the 1.04 UPDATE is that existing PBEM games will revert to the OLD pre 1.03 assault rules.

At some point, can someone provide an overview of what the difference is between the optional and default assault rules? Or is that explained somewhere within the patch documentation? In choosing whether or not to use the default rules, it would be great to have some understanding of the implications and unlike something such as "armor facing rules" that is fairly obvious in terms of impact, enhanced assault rules is highly vague.

Look in the Manuals folder, there is a document that explains the enhanced assault rules.

I am having a problem downloading also. The ftp keeps timing out. How did you fix the compatibility issue?
RE: John Tiller's Campaign Series 1.04 Public Beta Patch Avalible.
I'm having the same problem as Rick White.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
