I am just having my first play with WitPTracker. I tried to get Bodhi's utility to load, but could not (Vista I think...). After a little wobble I appear to have Tracker working. This comparison is handy - it's just a shame I only have one squadron of these on Indomitable and no replacements available...
Glad you are enjoying Tracker, more Allied specific enhancements on the way ... I have vista and there was an issue with Bohdi's util as well. You need to use Microsoft.Net 1.1 + patch, not the latest .Net available. It's a biggish download, but once applied I'm fine ... Also make sure you have the latest Bohdi version which is 1.0.0.6 I believe.

Cheers

GBL, can you update the Brits in this scenario before June 42? As to the Tracker its a great tool to use. At risk of hijacking the AAR n01487477, is Bohdis compatible with vista using the Net 1.1+patch?

The Brits are May 42 and the Cloggies are July I think. I installed Net 1.1 plus the service pack and the utility loads. However it is only reading my Big B install and I want it to read my Nemo install. Does anybody have any idea how I get the utility to read the one I want, please?

Carl,

You need to go to "Tools" and select "Options." Then change both of the paths to the correct files. Finally go to the "New Game."  I had some problems when I did the same a while ago, but trial and error fixed it. [:D]

Thanks Michael. I reloaded the last turn to check it was working and it seems to be. Now all I need to do is work out how to use it....

Johnston is now 45/52/0.

Would anybody know what the hell I am supposed to do with USS Utah? The weapons will never repair. With all the damaged BBs about you'd have thought someone would have suggested remounting her main armament and armour...

So far all she has been good for is shepherding PTs. She's a bit expensive to use as a warm body to attract shells and bombs away from transports, but I am struggling to come up with uses.

More transports are due next turn.

At Pearl I upgraded 394th BS to the torpedo carrying B-26A from the B-17D. The D's can help the units in the DEI keep fighting for longer. 436th BS, also at PH, drew 6 replacement B-17Es from stocks and another pilot. The KB is still missing, so I can't afford to leave PH without teeth.

5 New DDs arrived at Panama and are on their way to SF.

51st Av Rgt was reassigned to SWPAC and preparing for Brisbane. USMC 1st Air Wing was reassigned to SOPAC and is preparing for Noumea. 111th RCT arrived attached to Pac Flt - I have them planning for Palmyra. 51st Base Force was reassigned to SWPAC and is prepping for Cooktown to be able to give air support to Port Moresby and Thursday Island. 193rd Tank Bn was reassigned to SOPAC and ordered to plan for Noumea. 42nd Engineers, under Alaska Command, is prepping for Dutch Harbor.

40th FA Rgt arrived at Noumea and started to unload.

In Australia, 2nd Cav Div split to cover the three bases in the interior against paratroops.

What is this all about?

Moulmein was raided again and is now 0/74/92. 4 Buffs wandered into the area and were destroyed again. Their range has been set to 0. 2 Do-24s were destroyed on the water as Tarakan again suffered raids. Tarakan is now 29/47/90.

CV air hit Davao (0/31/51). The force South of the PI appears to be the mini-KB as the raid consisted of 6 Zekes, 21 Vals, 51 Jeans and 75 Kates. The decoy force and the Dutch strike force are heading for Koepang to keep out of the way. All ships are leaving Balikpapan except for 4 Dutch PTs.

AP Kirishima Maru was damaged at Naga by a bomb from Clark based B-25Ds. 2 B-25s were shot down by Zekes over San Fernando.

11th Pp Div and the US 86th FA are pulling out of Lingayen. They could be cut off by the Jap forces heading from the Balinta Pass towards Clark otherwise. I hope it is not too late. They are heading for Manila.

The bombing raids at Johore Bharu revealed the presence of the Jap 18th Div.

RAF 225 Grp and 225 Avn arrived at Aden and are loading for Calcutta. 221 Grp and 221 Avn are also loading for Calcutta, but with orders for Dacca.

Another Tracker screenie showing today's new arrivals...

In China the air ambush over Nanchang destroyed 2 Sonias and 4 Lilys. FAA 733 Sqn flew their Beauforts from Nanning to Clark.

Here is a comparison from Tracker. On reflection I have decided to upgrade all my CV fighter squadrons to the dash 4 as it seems to give my precious pilots a slightly higher chance of survival and is harder hitting.

Another handy thing 'Tracker does is list what an upgrade will do for you so you can see if it is worth it...

While waiting for a turn I thought I'd do a few comparisons. Mike will have the copied Bf109E arriving in a couple of months. It has poor range, but he is highly likely to be able to get airfields close to mine as his offensive starts to expand. If I try to counterpunch, I'll also come up against them as it is the ideal point defence fighter. Here is how it will compare to my main 1942 fighters...

First the Hurricane I, which I had been looking forward to until I saw this...

My best US Army fighter will do a little better, but the Jap has a big advantage in pilot experience...

S-51, on a minelaying mission to Wake, attacked a Jap surface force. She was sunk in the counter attack.

As if that was not bad enough the KB turned up just West of Palmyra. The force that had just transported an RCT to Canton Island was overwhelmed. DD Perkins (2 bombs, 4 torps), AP Jagersfontein (11 bombs, 2 torps), DD Cushing (2 bombs, 2 torps) and AP Barnett (5 bombs, 4 torps) were attacked by 45 Zekes, 4 Rufes, 101 Vals and 110 Kates. There were two follow up raids, but for some strange reason they could not find the US task force...

All convoys are routing around the area. Kittyhawk and her precious cargo are running North. The biggest danger, if Mike keeps going East or turns South East, is to the task force carrying 2nd US Marine Div. It is very slow and is on the edge of the East no go zone. Fingers crossed Mike will turn back before he finds them. I have them running due South to keep the maximum vector away from the KB. A resupply ship heading to Christmas Island with 200 tons of supplies has diverted to PH.

At PH all units are set on Naval attack with a range of 4 to ensure that if Mike comes visiting he faces a co-ordinated attack.

Yet again this was a surprise. Mike is well behind schedule in the DEI so I would have thought the KB would have been there. Either Mike has no plan and is just raiding aimlessly or he is building up for an offensive in the Central Pacific and is using these raids to hamper my build up. Time will tell...
