How do you load upgraded ship and aircraft artwork?

Post by IndyShark »

I just purchased and installed WITP. I used to play UV and this game is really cool. I'd like to install the upgraded artwork, but I can't seem to find the folders in my WITP folders to place them.

Woud someone be so kind as to explain how to do this please? If you tell me where the files should go, I think I can do the rest.

Thanks all!

It's all in the art folder. The ship sides, ship shils (for the combat screens), aircraft, maps and various loading screens are all in there. Making sure the new files are named correctly, all you have to do is drag and drop them into the right folder and click yes to replace.

I know it is in the art folder, but I can't find the right one. Can you tell me the folder name for aircraft and ships please?

For ships, is it Alliedship_back or alliedshipclasses or alliedship_transp?

Which one is it for aircraft?

Aircraft tops and sides are in the main Art folder.

Ship sides (backs) and shils are each in seperate subfolders inside the main Art folder.
Ship art is divided by Allied and Japanese.

If you want to be sure.
After you click a folder, go to the right side of your computer screen and right click.
Then click view then thumbnails.[;)]

I got it to work, but now I can't launch the game. Grrrrrrrrrrrrr

I am getting an error message "Can't set the screen mode"

Does anyone know what that is and  how to fix it?

Ask in the support thread at the top of this forum.

Don't know the answer to this one.
