Adding a new province to an existing Kingdom?

Post by bigbillthecollector »

How do I add new provinces to a Kingdom...
As Turkey, I created Ottoman Empire.
However, now I have conquered Algeria. I created a freee state, but I actually just want it to join the Ottoman, which it is supposed to do.
Same would apply to conquests of non Confed of Rhine components by the Confed of Rhine creator.
Same for Poland...
Any instructions?

Can't do it yet...I think it's on Marshall's list.

I haven't done this yet. What about an annex button that gives the MP an option to add. Would that be legal?

Thank you

Marshall, if you check the (original) EiA rules, you'll find that the MP controlling many of these kingdoms *must* add any additional provinces to the kingdom created.

See http://eia.xnetz.com/rules/eiarules-with-errata.html

Summary:

11.1 Poland -- a controlling major power may, if desired, add additional controlled "P" provinces to Poland.

11.2 Italy -- Whenever the major power controlling the Kingdom of Italy regains control of territory that could be part of the kingdom, this territory must be added to the Kingdom of Italy.

11.3 Westphalia -- Whenever the major power controlling the Kingdom of Westphalia gains control of territory that could be part of the kingdom, this territory must be added to the Kingdom of Westphalia

11.4 Kingdom of Bavaria -- The Kingdom of Bavaria political marker is removed whenever Tyrol province is under different control than Bavaria's (and so the Kingdom of Bavaria cannot have Tyrol re-added to it).

11.5 Confederation of the Rhine -- Whenever the major power controlling the Confederation of the Rhine gains control of territory that could be part of the Confederation of the Rhine, this territory must be added to the Confederation of the Rhine

11.6 Ottoman Empire -- Whenever the major power controlling the Ottoman Empire gains control of territory that could be part of the empire, this territory must be added to the Ottoman Empire

11.7 Kingdom of the Two Sicilies -- n/a as if Sicily is separated from Naples it can be constituted as a separate free state (with fleets), although there is nothing preventing the K2S being reformed later.

So in terms of the EiANW game -- it could be made automatic to add additional territory to a controlled kingdom, except in the case of Bavaria (which folds as a kingdom if Tyrolia is separated) and Poland where it is optional.

I have a similar problem.

I was playing Russia vs. AI (BTW, the AI is almost impossible to beat, even if I get 15VP/eco phase, which if you ask me is just ridiculous) and I created Poland. It automatically took all my "P" provinces made them Poland. This is NOT how this should work. You should be able to pick which "P" provinces you want included. BTW, I owned ALL "P" provinces on the map, from unconditionals I got from Au and Pr.

The side effect of this??? Russia was left with little money since some of it's controlled territory AND HOME PROVINCES were automatically added to Poland. The real side effect??? Russia had to end up getting militia even though it owned half of Europe and Poland was left with an extra 30 gold wasted EACH ECO PHASE.

If this is the way you are going to do it for Poland, then it should act like the Ottoman and give it's remaining gold to it's owner MP.

Also, didn't Poland have more than 1 Inf Corps? I could be mistaken on this.
