Sweeps and LRCAP

I have a question for the more experienced players.

Will Sweep missions tangle with enemy LRCAP in the same hex or will they only tangle with normal CAP that is covering the base they are targeting?

If the sweep is over an enemy base covered by LRCAP then it's possible, though not 100% certain, that they will tangle.  Even will standard CAP there is no certainty, though it's more assured than LRCAP, of interception.  Radar doesn't hurt to have at a base in a high threat area.
