Now That College Football Is Here...

Does anyone have a useable NCAA league they would like to share?[:)]
Or will I have to spend hours creating one from the excellent work that Simmer or 21SEC started? [:(]

Only issue I run into with college is the lack of the option, but there are a lot of good builds out there for College.  I use Bowl Bound College Football to simulate college, but if you're playing MaxFB is your #1 choice out there.  NCAA is only available on the consoles so unless you're a total knob or geek and hook it up to your PC - you're better off with Max FB.

FYI - I'm a total knob and a geek.  In fact I just set up the FCS so I'll be posting that league simmed up to date later on tonight.

and the alternative is simmer's which is a total fantasy roster................
now I'll be happy to take an updated 2008 roster Rhino if your offering to sit for about 6 months to make it............[:'(]

I cringe at the thought of making complete college rosters.  We thought about doing it for the NCAA League but then I did the math ~70 players a team * 118 teams
That's 8,260 players to create, rate accurately and test with.

Here's what we did - we gave each team 5-10 players and were happy with that.  We then do a recruiting session which brings in non-real players followed by a draft of about 3-5 rounds in order to add real life players.  The better a team does the higher the value of their picks.

I'm with ya' MB
way too much work for such a huge league with a short playing span for each player.

I was considering doing a roster for CIS though
27 teams is a lot more managable, how accurate would that be................
names, heights, weights etc. would be easy to do for each player
individual player skill levels.......... that would have to be random
I'm a little too far away to have any knowledge of who's who in the CIS to be accurate on that.

Yeah, I'm just going to use fictional players. I think I'm even going to cut some of the divisions. I'll use Hack's playbooks and base it on Simmer's NCAA. I like the way he constructed it. Maybe I'll even post how the West Florida Argonauts fare in the NCAA! [;)]
