Edit AI

Post by marcaurelio_74 »

Hi,
i'm trying to edit AI behaviour but something go wrong.

This is my step :

1)Create a random Map

2)Choose button Edit

3)Select button SFtypes

4)From list i choose "Rifle"

5)From second list i choose AI Role Scores

Now i can see that the value for Rifle is set at 100 for Infantry.

How can i change this value?
There is no button to click, what i'm doing wrong?

Thanks in advance for every answer, really a good game.

P.s.
It's necessary to install every patch or i can install only the last one (1.20)?

All patches are normally comprehensive, so you should be OK with 1.20.

To edit the SF_types, you need to "disconnect" the pt_master. Go to Settings and click the Master button. Don't type anything, then click OK. You should now be able to mod everything. Make sure to save your scenario as a new masterfile in case you want to reuse your setting for future scenarios.

Really Thanks Widell, i tried now and it worked.

Some other questions :

1)After i edit some AI parameter before to start the game i have to link the scenario to the masterfile again or i can leave it blank?

2)How i can save a scenario as a masterfile (.ptmaster) ?

Thanks.

No problem - We are here to help....

First question: No. Only save the scenario and you should be fine. The master file is only there if you want to use the same settings for more than one scenario.

Second question: When you choose Save As in the scenario editor, you find master file as one option in the drop down list. Make sure to name the master file something else than the standard files as you want them as reference for other games. Let me know if you run into problems.
