Never modelled in FOW

To date, a real bit of chrome never modelled is the occasion when an entire air unit is quickly overwhelmed and unable to report by radio. HQ would never know the reason for the loss.
Rather than the air combat screen coming up, I can see a message screen that "The flight was lost for unknown reasons".
This would (to me) be the epitome of the most tragic example of FOW at this scale.

Maybe when WITP II is considered.?

That is an extremely rare situation except for lone aircraft.  I could see implementing this for search aircraft.

Maybe it happened more than singly, I know of a few cases of flights/sections being lost over PNG, but isnt this covered by Ops losses?

I think he was talking about the FOW leaving the cause of loss a mystery.
