Japanese Barges

In the long scenarios such as #16 is there a maximum quantity of barges available to the Japanese player, or does the AI keep pumping them out?

In the Sc17 OOB it is stated that there are 39 of the 17m type and 85 of the 14m type. I don´t know if this counts for all long scenarios.

Thanks. The reason for my asking is that my LBA is feasting on barge convoys to Lae and Shortlands, and was wondering if the tap will be turned off any point.
