Vista problem

I now have the misfortune to be running Vista Ultimate on my computer and COTD won't run. It gets as far as the splash screen and then locks up. I have attached my DXDIAG file.

I just tried the game on our Vista machine, while it's not one of the supported OSs I was able to actually get into the game and play a couple of turns on our test machine with the 2.20 version of the game. You might want to check to see if you have the 2.20 version of the game and to also see if there are any updated drivers out there for your devices.

I have installed the no sound patch and proram runs for a while then comes back with the battleback error.

Sweet!  This fixed it!  I was running it on XP in May 2006.  Quit playing it and got a Vista laptop.  Could not get it to work for the life of me.  Now I see this can perhaps fix other "Vista" issues, right Seinfeld?

Yeah, their should be a patch to fix this hopefully one day, especially since a sequel is coming out.  Now if I could just keep the AI from kicking my arse.  How did Mack get to be so tough!

Have just bought CotD but cannot get past the front screen. I have vista on laptop. Any suggestions about how to get the game working would be welcomed..!
