Adios my freinds....I got rid of my JTCS until the stable platform comes out....Iran into too many headaches with vista and this game...ran it on my xp machine and had very few problems but that machine is several years old and I don't want to see cobwebs form on my Tigers as they try to move in 3d mode or generate AI move in large scale operations. I still recieved no response nor help from the Matrix Tech Support so I gave up. You guys win so have a great day and hope to see this game run as touted on a high end Vista Machine.

Jason you have done good work with what you have to work with and I applaud you for that. I would hope that in the future expansions of the game that more concentration would be done on the core game engine vs the eye candy, or other little tweaks. I did enjoy the old talonsoft game very much and got spoiled with how they handled technical support issues. How the User defined updates were separated from the vanilla install. There was not an issue that I had Talonsoft did not get back with me. Most of the time it was the same day. The issues I had here with Matrix has been over a month and there has been no confirmation that they are even looking at it.

Just a thought to all the beta brigade members, there is no issue that is stupid nor crazy if you will. What really got me going with this forum is the fact that there were so many inflammatory remarks about various ideas not only to me but others that it really did turn the page for me a long time talonsoft , matrix supporter. Even though you do this work out of the goodness for the community this does not make the final authority in programming or tweaking the game.

I respect what you want to do with the game but do not take it to the point where it shows extreme favortism to a certain groiup of people, their play style, or there gaming habits. Maybe some of these tweaks that were developed should have been mini add ins for users :

forr example:
1.03a vanilla update default old rules
1.03b New Rules update

New vehicle update
New weapons update
New scenarios
etc

This way it would be easier for the consumer to decide how they wanted to enhance their game play from the vanilla. The check sum error check would work great with this concept for PBEM without encroaching on the user tweaked stuff.

Have Fun with this game and I hope all kills are good and may the Mortars 82mm and less not destroy those King Tigers.

Take care. Although personally I think you'd be better off installing XP on new machine, using Vista for games is like walking on stilts to work, can be done but why bother? Anyway cheers.
