New Game in town

The new June 2002 post of the Steel Panther's Arsenal will be ready soon at

The Raider's have been working hard on this next issuse! We have a World War One scenario! and several other extreme scenarios for you as well as 2 master scenarios from Brent "Grenadier" Richards!

Also, there is a new Spwaw Campaign in town: a new concept that incorporates the Mini Campaign format. What is a Mini-Campaign you ask? It is a small campaign involving three to eight small battles that covers a single World War II battle’s high points. These battles are 10 to 14 turns long, and use a small core force along with auxiliary forces. The campaign does not take long to play as the format’s focus is on short, fast paced action during a World War II operation. Finally, the Raider’s Mini-Campaign format will allow you to play the same battles from either side. That is right, you can play the campaign from either side verses the Computer!

Offered in the “SPOTLIGHT” section of the Arsenal will be a trial version of the Raider Mini-Campaign format entitled, “Slaughter at Chenuex”. This campaign involves the bloody fighting between the US 82 Airborne Division’s 504 PIR and elements of Kampfgruppe Peiper at Cheneux Belgium, December 20-21, 1944. It consists of three short battles per side. I designed it so that you can see how this concept works. This is a trial version of a Raider’s Mini-Campaign so let us know how you like it.

Remember, the Raider’s Mini-Campaign game is designed with these ideas in mind: A small core force so as to be able to stay within the real life oob limits of a World War II Operational Battle. To limit the purchase of excessive auxiliary units so that a battle portrayed in game will retain a more historical context and help prevent misuse of rare units in overwhelming numbers. To keep a Campaign small, with few turns as possible so that a person can actually finish a campaign and see his or her score! Most importantly, provide more variety and fun to the Spwaw experience. Enjoy!

So keep checking the site - the update will be posted soon!
