PBEM with different Patch Versions?

I just found out my Japanese opponent patched up to 1.806, but NOT 1.806 Revised. I know this cannot be good, but I do not know what sort of problems we face. We are into Jan 1942 in Stock.

Does anyone know what sort of agony we are likely to face because of this?

(I guess this is a "technical" issue. Please excuse me if I posted to the wrong place.)

Have him patch up to the same level as you and hope for the best.

One key agony I would predict would be continuous "synch" issues (between the Allied combat report and the Official results).

I was unaware that there is a 1.806 Revised patch as well as a separate and different 1.806 patch.

Hello Alfred - The only patch still available to download is 1.806Revised.  1.806 was published briefly, and then quickly taken down and replaced.  To properly install and patch WITP, we are to install the game, then the 1.804 patch and then the 1.806Revised patch.

Thanks for your thoughts.  I'll run a test to see what happens when I try to install 1.806 revised on top of 1.806.  If nothing ugly happens, I'll ask my opponent to give it a try.
